My storytelling career was heavily influenced by my career in healthcare as a nurse. And as much as I love being a nurse, I love creating and telling stories more. I will also say that Healthcare has humbled me. It has allowed me to approach storytelling from so many different perspectives. I work with patients who are dealing with terminal illness, and patients who just welcomed a brand new baby into their lives. I work with mentally coherent people, and I work with people who are suffering from mental illnesses. If this has taught me anything, it has taught me how to approach a story from multiple different perspectives. We are all viewing the world from a different colored lens. And what a profound way to approach every circumstance. An even more profound way to approach each story.
